How It Works

Service Posting & Job Acceptance

1. User Registration/Login

Download the MyNeighbours app, complete registration, and verify your account information.

2. Post a Service Request

Select the service type, fill in detailed information, set a budget, and specify the completion time.

3. Service Provider Accepts the Job

The service provider reviews the request details and communicates with the user to finalize specifics.

4. Service Confirmation

The user confirms the service provider. Both parties negotiate the specific service time, location, and details, and pay a partial deposit.

5. Service Completed

After confirming the service results, the user pays the remaining balance, and then both parties provide star ratings for the experience.

How payments work (platform fee, charity donation option)

After the service is completed, the user makes the payment through the platform's secure payment system.

Funds Distribution System

After payment is completed, the system automatically distributes the funds to the service provider and relevant parties.

Distribution Process:

  • 1. The user pays the full amount.
  • 2. The platform deducts its service fee.
  • 3. The donation portion is transferred to the charity account.
  • 4. The remaining amount is paid to the service provider.

Safety, verification, and rating system

The completion of a service triggers the rating process

Upon service completion, the system automatically sends rating invitations to both the user and the service provider.

Mutual Rating

The user rates the service provider, and the service provider rates the user. These ratings are displayed on their respective profile pages once both submissions are received.

  • Overall Rating (1-5 stars)

Rating Impact & Reputation System

Ratings impact the reputation scores of both users and service providers. Users with high scores may receive priority recommendations and special offers on the platform.

Pre-booking taxi process with support service

1. Trip Posting

  • Enter pickup location and destination.
  • Enter travel time, mode of transport, and estimated cost.
  • Additional Services:child seat, large luggage, pets, accompaniment, other notes.

2. Driver Order Selection

After the trip is posted, drivers filter orders by start and end locations.

3. Driver accepts the order.

The driver reviews the trip details, assesses it, then chooses to accept the order and contacts the passenger to discuss specifics.

4. Trip Confirmation

Once both parties confirm the trip and a deposit is paid, wait for the driver to depart at the agreed time.

5. Order in Progress

The passenger provides a ride code, the driver verifies it, and provides the corresponding service.

6. Payment Completion & Additional Services

Upon arriving at the destination, the passenger pays the remaining balance. If there were additional services, the driver will have provided accompaniment.

Charities registered on MyNeighbours receive donations automatically through the Stripe connected account system.

How are charities approved in MyNeighbours? +
