From a service request to a completed job.

Post your request

Choose one of the eight Community Services categories. Add the task, budget, date, duration, location and selected charity.

Chat and choose a provider

Discuss the job through Chat Now. The person who posted the job selects one provider using Accept.

Confirm payment

For paid work, the requester pays the full amount by card through Stripe in NZD. For volunteer work, the requester confirms without a payment page.

04

Arrive and start

The provider marks Arrived, then selects Start Job to move the task to In Progress.

Confirm completion

The provider marks the work complete and the requester confirms. Settlement begins after both confirmations.

06

Leave a review

Both sides can leave a 1–5 star rating, including half stars, and optional text. Reviews become public at the next midnight in New Zealand local time.

Of the paid job total goes to the service provider.

PLATFORM FEE

10%

Of the paid job total is the platform fee.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

1% of the total

Comes from the platform fee, not an additional charge. This equals 10% of that fee.

For an NZD 80 job: the provider receives NZD 72; the platform fee is NZD 8, including NZD 0.80 for Community Support. Reviews do not hold up settlement.

Explore available items and check the description, price and selected charity.

Purchase or claim

Paid items open NeighbourSupport for Stripe payment. Free items are claimed directly in the app. Stripe verification is required for both routes.

Arrange collection

After a successful purchase or claim, use Messages to agree local collection. This is a pickup flow, not a delivery service.
